  1. That's true mate, I'm from Australia and now days if you wanna take more than $10K, they asking too many questions. It's crazy and BS.

  2. I was scammed out of $9,000 by an IRS impersonator!! I had only WISHED that the bank teller would have asked EXACTLY what I needed the money for! It was devastating!!!! Hopefully they are asking for the right reason!

  3. In Australia.. Anything over 10k (deposit and withdrawal) is flagged and sent to Austrac (large deposit/withdrawal tracking agency)
This is common practise. Has been in place for 30+ years.
They pressed him probably because his account has numerous large amounts in and out. This is standard practise. He's basically dodgey and they are questioning him.

Also.. Anything over 5k in most bank branches must be advised in advance so they have enough cash on hand. Over 10k they don't just hand out. They order the cash 1-2days in advance to have for you. It's many more reasons than "controlling your money"
People don't know how bank branches actually operate. Simpletons.

  4. I'm am Aussie and probably 3 years ago l went to my business account to withdraw 10k. I had to apply for it and come back l think it was 5 working days later to collect. I'd earnt it, paid taxes on it but didnt have access to it. Be careful of bail IN laws which are in place in Australia.
