I think it's funny that you mention OSRS gp because I've thought for a long time how it is basically a cryptocurrency.
Game developers care more about having a functional in-game shop rather than a functional game.
There is never going to be a game where you make real money, that is a stupid idea. The instant one is made people will make bots to make free money of it until whatever currency they use is no longer worth enough to make the bots economicaly viable at which point it wont be worth anything to anyone.
Look into xwar on the xrpl. They're making a game. I don't even play games but I bought a few tokens on their ido. Looks like it's worth the small risk.
